Research on the Picker Art Gallery’s collection of Dutch and Flemish art is being carried out by Dr. Suzanne van de Meerendonk and is supported by a grant from the Kress Foundation.

Dr. Suzanne van de Meerendonk received an MA in History and Art Studies from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of California, Santa Barbara. A specialist in seventeenth-century Dutch art, she has previously worked as a graduate intern at the Getty Research Institute’s Project for the Study of Collecting and Provenance in Los Angeles, and as a provenance researcher at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The Picker Art Gallery is Colgate University’s on-campus art museum. With a collection of around 11,000 objects, Picker has been a teaching, learning, and research resource for the University and local communities since 1969.
